Jenny, it was fabulous! Better than I could have dreamed Costa Rica would be. We were on the fence about the whole guide thing but Kevin made the trip SO much better! I loved that we didn’t have to worry about all the logistics. He was just so patient, kind, informative and fun to be with. We were all sad when it was time to depart. One of the biggest highlights was whitewater rafting with him as guide and 2 others that helped take video and provided extra safety. We felt like royalty who later get dunked!
Having the hotels arranged and breakfast included in most places was a big plus too. Your travel tips and itinerary was golden. Despite my months of research, your practical tips were super helpful, thank you!

My only feedback would be related to the lodging and maybe it would have been different if we had booked earlier? I would have liked to see a couple different lodging options in each location to pick from. Hacienda Guac was a great place to stay with so many activities to do! It was more isolated than anticipated. 2 nights was the perfect amount of time. There and Arenal Observatory had wonderful breakfasts but the dinners were very expensive and there weren’t other options to pick from given the locations. We made due by sharing some meals and it worked out fine. Hotel Fenix was at such an awesome location! We loved being able to sit on the beach and the chill vibe. It was HOT when we were there which meant 1 kid slept in the heat on the coach which wasn’t great for MN teens but the fan helped.

Overall, an unforgettable phenomenal experience and I have a feeling we will be back!
