“Our adventurous family holiday to Costa Rica was amazing! Thank you, Jenny, you’ve been excellent! Your extremely quick replies and thorough checklists made me feel very prepared to take our family of five on this trip. We had a great time the entire time we were in the country but definitely saw and experienced the most diverse parts whilst on our Global Family Adventures tour. Our guide, Gil Calvo, was a perfect fit for our family. He’s so professional, and made travelling with our 7yr old, 5 yr old and 15mo old comfortable and seamless. It was actually relaxing for my husband and I.

A further shout out to Gil: he is a seasoned guide familiar with the whole country and his tourism connections helped tailor the holiday to our family. He took us to great restaurants with food recommendations, keeping us all happy and well-fed. He is also a fantastic source of information about the country. A simple transfer journey from hotel to hotel flew by as he introduced us to the landscape and ways of Costa Ricans. In the end we opted to spend much of our time with Gil who guided us on private walks through rain forests, cloud forests describing the fauna and flora along the way.

Highlights for us included:
Don Juan Finca Educativa – organic farm/restaurant that Gil introduced us to. Delicious fresh tilapia followed by a personal tour of the farm by Christian. Our kids loved pressing sugar cane, painting faces and having a hands on farm experience.
Fortuna – ziplines, waterfall, chocolate and coffee
Monteverde – Gil’s guided walking tours to see strangler ficuses and through the cloud forests
Playa Samara – the beach! Twice a day, every day including boogie boarding and surf lessons

For us, traveling with three small children, Costa Rica was the perfect holiday destination for adventure, R&R and quality family time. Thanks again, Jenny, for helping us get there!
