Thanks- we had a great time in Costa Rica. We loved the mix of adventure in the rainforest and relaxation by the beach.

Dauren, our guide, was terrific. He was extremely good at spotting animals on out hikes, knew everything that we wanted to know about the country and was very attentive and good at sensing our needs, preferences etc.

Our highlights were the hikes on the hanging bridges, the night hike, los Laureles hot springs (fantastic!) and of course relaxing at the pool and the beach with our kids. It’s really difficult to point anything out in particular. We also did the El Trapiche coffee/sugar cane tour – it was actually pretty great too but at this point our kids were a bit tired 🙁

The accommodation you found was really great. Hotel Montechiari in La Fortuna was terrific (great value for money), and so was Arco Iris Lodge. We really appreciated the location right in town for both hotels. And I loved Villas Kalimba – must return!

As you can hear I have nothing to point a finger at – we loved every minute of the vacation. And even though we almost didn’t meet any other tourists with kids, I think the trip worked very well for our kids.
