Dee and I enjoyed the trip very much and think Luis was a wonderful guide/driver. I really can’t think of anything to suggest to have improved our experience.
Thanks so much for all your help in organizing our recent trip to Costa Rica. As requested, here is some feedback we hope is helpful. In summary, we had a great time and everything seemed very organised and we felt well-informed.
Our guide (Jose):
Overall, Jose was fantastic and we only have great things to say about him. Jose was very personable, relaxed, had a great sense of humour and lots of knowledge on everything Costa Rican. With kids, in-laws and different tastes we were often trying to find activities, dining and times that worked for everybody and
You arranged a wonderful “cooks tour” of central and coastal CR and we just loved it! There were so many highlights I hardy know where to start. We left a snowy, cold monochromatic world to fly to a place of magic, color, and burgeoning life. It started and stopped at the Buena Vista which was luxurious and relaxing [with the tiny exception of the chronically barking dog just over the fence — but we have one of those here!].

Our trip was wonderful! The itinerary that you put together satisfied my desires and, I believe, those of everyone beyond expectations. At every location, we saw amazing wildlife and unbelievably diverse and rich habitats. The array of optional activities allowed us all to do what we most wanted. The greatest frustration was being unable to do it all!

We had a wonderful time and it will be a vacation that the kids will remember for a long time. The trip was fantastic and Leo was outstanding.
The highlights were night snorkeling in Drake Bay and surfing in Jaco.
The lodges were amazing and Leo was so flexible and always accommodating.
Something I wondered was if it made sense to fly to Drake Bay from San Jose.
By the time we got to Drake Bay, it felt like we spent a lot of time driving.
We would have preferred 2 nights @ Hotel Cerro to have more time @ Jaco and to do Manuel Antonio 1st thing in the morning.

The trip was perfect! When we left, my youngest, Thomas, was in tears because he loved Costa Rica and would especially miss Jose Pablo. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide, he was knowledgeable, fun, and so great with the kids. Each place we visited was beautiful. We loved rafting [Green Rivers in Sarapiqui] and the Tirimbina chocolate tour in Sarapiqui. La Fortuna waterfall was beautiful as well as the hanging bridges. Silencio del Campo was our favorite hotel, the springs were perfect after a long day. We had fun hiking in Monteverde and really liked the night

Fantastic trip, really special. Copa airlines was great, the kids did well with a boot on one ankle and our youngest with crutches for the first part – all did ziplining and we didn’t really miss out on anything and we all had a blast. Jose Pablo = fabuloso, tuanis! ESO! What a guy and what a guide – really made the trip even better and worthwhile with his knowledge of all things Tico and genuine excitement for the local natural treasures. We had a fabulous time in Costa Rica, and that’s saying something because I am a pretty anxious traveler. Not only was the planning and execution positively flawless and the accommodations distinct and unique and just perfect, Luis was a dream. Like literally, there was not one thing about him we would change. It takes a truly gifted person to be willing and able to sit in the car and hang out for days with a family and all its dynamics and just seamlessly fit in, like he’d always been there.
