13 day Rainforest, Volcano, Cloud Forest, Samara Beach Itinerary with eco-Plus lodging

Our family trip to Costa Rica was a trip of a lifetime and we will never forget the memories that were made. What made our trip so rich and stress free was having Luis as our guide and naturalist. He taught us so much about Costa Rica’s amazing culture, wildlife and biodiversity. Luis took us on amazing hikes and pointed out monkeys, sloths, snakes, birds and insects which we would have never seen without him. It was so nice that he drove us to each destination and a relief to not to have to worry about directions. Luis was

10 day Rainforest, Volcano, Cloud Forest tour with combo of Tico & Plus lodging

The trip was great and Diego was a excellent guide. Our family enjoyed it.

The highlighted of the trip were the culture tour at Arenal volcano area, zip lining at the cloud forest and the water rafting at the Sarapiqui River.

Again thank you so much for your customized service to our family.

7 day Rainforest and Arenal Volcano tour with drop off at beach resort booked by family

We had a really great trip and thank you very much for organizing it. Your suggested route worked really well as it was a manageable distance for our kids to be in the car at any one time. Jose was a first rate guide and accommodated the pace we wanted to take. He was extremely knowledgeable about birds, plants and wildlife and got on really well with our 3 year old son. Most importantly he seemed trustworthy which is important when someone is around your kids all day for 5 days.

Sarapiqui was peaceful and just as you noted,

10 day Manuel Antonio, Osa, Dominical with eco-Plus lodging

We had a wonderful time! Everything went very smoothly. Hernan Sandi was a great guide – he was very knowledgable about birds and wildlife and took us to a lot of places we wouldn’t have otherwise gone, our trip would not have been nearly as fun without him. I would definitely recommend him for further use if needed.

Highlights of our trip were:

We went surfing in Domincal – the surf was very strong that day unfortunately and my husband brought the boys in after just an hour as there were threats of rip tides.

We hiked Nuyauca

We’ve been home for a week now and I finally have time to send you the email I wanted to send. The short version: this was a trip of a lifetime! I am so immensely grateful for the help you provided to us, the guidance in the documents you provided, and for having Dauren to guide us. It was amazing.

This email will be very long as I wanted to include everything we did in case you can glean any insights to pass on to others.

Day 1

We arrived on schedule and took a cab without incident to

Tortuguero Turtles, Rainforest, Volcano, Cloud Forest

I wrote up some of my notes from the trip…Overall we had an amazing adventure and are serious about coming back again next March. I’ll be in touch!!

Hotel Buena Vista, Alajuela

Loved this hotel! It was a great place to start the trip. The people were so kind there and the food was excellent.

Tortuguero

I think this was our favorite location! (see photo above) Tortuga Lodge & Gardens was gorgeous and the accommodations were so nice. My only note with this property is the meals… 3 course lunches and dinners are time consuming and overall

10 day Volcano, Cloud Forest, Manuel Antonio Beach custom itinerary with Upgrade & one Tico lodging

Not sure where to begin, but the vacation was amazing!
First of all our guide, Jose!!! He was just wonderful. Knowledgable,
patient, and fun. Seemed as excited as we were by the incredible
landscape and animals and made great suggestions to make sure
we saw as much as possible without over taxing the kiddos.
Had a brand new 10+ passenger van that made
the long rough rides up the mountains quite tolerable. Found us
a doctor at 6am when the little one was up all night with a terrible
fever and

Antone and Lauren, honeymoon
11 day Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, Cloud Forest, Arenal Volcano

Lauren and I had a wonderful time and can’t thank you enough for your efforts to make our honeymoon the best vacation yet. Both Walter and Gil were excellent guides, completely professional, and were great at their job. Gil especially was amazing. His passion for the country and the wildlife that call CR home is contagious. All hotels were fantastic and easy to use. The locations were fantastic and we have no complaints with the facilities. And thanks for letting Hacienda Guachepelin know about our honeymoon. They gave us a bottle of wine, chocolate dipped strawberries and flower

Christine, Mom of 5 and 7 yr olds
10 day Volcano, Rainforest, Beach tour with eco-Plus lodging

Our trip was amazing. We have so many pictures and stories, I don’t know where to start. We really enjoyed Luis‘ company. A couple days after he left us, my youngest (Zach -5) said “I miss Luis” – he never said that about anyone before.

Our personal highlights were:

Me: swimming in the river while feeding the fruit-eating “piranhas” during our raft tour in the rain forest near Sarapiqui; having monkeys throw figs at me in the Cahuita national park. Also, I brought a blacklight flashlight with me on a night walk with Luis and Xavier in Sarapiqui

12 day Cloud Forest, Arenal Volcano, Rainforest, Beach with eco-Plus lodging

Our guide, Gil, really made the trip so special. He was really wonderful, knowledgeable and patient with our children who weren’t always at their best! He always knew the best dish on the menu to pick, so “I’ll have what Gil’s having” was always a safe bet. He took wonderful photos of the wildlife we saw as well.

Other than Gil, highlights included the hot thermal pools in La Fortuna (Hotel Las Lagos), white-water rafting in Sarapiqui, and the volcano views from the Arenal lodge.

Definitely lots of memories for us all.
