We had a fabulous time! Travel to and from home was smooth. Dauren is the best!!! When we ate dinner the last night before our flight back home, we discussed our top three experiences – Dauren was in there with Zip Line and Horseback Riding. He made the trip!!! He always had great suggestions and helped us decide on activities and places to eat. Your family is going to love hime next Christmas when you go! He knows his craft and he knows all about the nature and history of Costa Rica.

We had a fabulous time and wanted to thank you for all of your help!
I also can’t stress enough how wonderful Gil was. He immediately connected with our kids and made our experience a great success. I don’t know if other guides do this, but he also took photos during activities and sent them to us. That was very appreciated since we didn’t bring our phones with us to several excursions. I loved that he was available on What’s App. I hope others do the same.

We had such a great, and exhausting, trip that we spent the weekend recovering and sleeping

Highlights:

Senda Monteverde: staff was incredible, accommodations were great, food was really reasonable, wildlife on the premises (coati, armadillo, aguti)
Arenal Springs Resort: we loved the pools and the accommodations, great that they had a playground too!

Dinner at Villas Kalimba by Roberto and his sweet puppies (we were the only diners, so it was great given our squirrelly kids!)

Our family trip to Costa Rica was a trip of a lifetime and we will never forget the memories that were made. What made our trip so rich and stress free was having Luis as our guide and naturalist. He taught us so much about Costa Rica’s amazing culture, wildlife and biodiversity. Luis took us on amazing hikes and pointed out monkeys, sloths, snakes, birds and insects which we would have never seen without him. The highlighted of the trip were the culture tour at Arenal volcano area, zip lining at the cloud forest and the water rafting at the Sarapiqui River.

We had a really great trip and thank you very much for organizing it. Your suggested route worked really well as it was a manageable distance for our kids to be in the car at any one time. Jose was a first rate guide and accommodated the pace we wanted to take. He was extremely knowledgeable about birds, plants and wildlife and got on really well with our 3 year old son. Most importantly he seemed trustworthy which is important when someone is around your kids all day for 5 days.

We had a wonderful time! Everything went very smoothly. Hernan Sandi was a great guide – he was very knowledgable about birds and wildlife and took us to a lot of places we wouldn’t have otherwise gone, our trip would not have been nearly as fun without him. I would definitely recommend him for further use if needed.

Highlights of our trip were:

We went surfing in Domincal – the surf was very strong that day unfortunately and my husband brought the boys in after just an hour as there were threats of rip tides.

Hotel Buena Vista, Alajuela

Loved this hotel! It was a great place to start the trip. The people were so kind there and the food was excellent.

Tortuguero

I think this was our favorite location! (see photo above) Tortuga Lodge & Gardens was gorgeous and the accommodations were so nice. My only note with this property is the meals… 3 course lunches and dinners are time consuming and overall
